Design Section Engineering (DSE) services of study, design and preparation of contract plans and documents for drainage improvements. Work included inspection of drainage structures and analysis, ditch repair, Right-Of-Way identification and alignment, utility impact, Barrier Warrant, Field Survey, wetland delineation and permit, 404 permit, and NPDES permit.

FAP 317 (US 24) over Big Sister and Little Sister Creeks, Fulton County, IL. Illinois Dept. of Transportation, District 4
Phase I & II engineering services were performed for the preparation of Project Reports and contract plans for the rehabilitation of 0.6 miles of US 24. SDI’s scope of work included preparing Hydraulic Reports (including hydraulic calculation using both WSPRO and HEC-RAS computer softwares), performing environmental assessments, drainage studies, and Landscaping designs.
FAU 1620 (Margaret St) at Ridge Rd, Thornton, IL. Illinois Dept. of Transportation, District 1
Engineering services for preliminary engineering, environmental studies and Project Reports. A T-intersection approx. 3/4 mile S. and 3/4 mile E. of the intersection of I-80/I-294 and Halsted St. All three legs of the intersection are two lanes with unpaved gravel shoulders. Project purpose was to improve the Intersection capacity and safety and improving drainage.
Tasks included: Collection of data, preparation of base maps and mosaics, geometric studies, accident analysis, capacity analysis including intersection design studies (IDS), drainage studies including Hydraulic Reports, and cost estimates. Scope of work also included designs and tasks for Roads and Streets, Traffic Signal, Location Drainage, Traffic Studies, Safety Studies, Feasibility Studies, Traffic Management Analysis, Hydraulic Reports and Land Survey.
US 30 at Heggs St, Plainfield, IL. Illinois Dept. of Transportation, District 1
Engineering services for preliminary engineering, environmental studies and preparation of Project Reports. The intersection is approx. 1/2 mi SE of the intersection of Rte. 30 and Wolfs Crossing, and approximately 1/2 mi NW of the intersection of Rte. 30 and 111th St. Purpose of the project is to improve the capacity and safety of the intersection, improving the drainage and geometry, and installing traffic signals.
